Botox
Botox is a protein that relaxes muscles and can be used to reduce wrinkles to refresh and renew your skin. Botox treatments reduce facial muscle activity and temporarily prevents the contraction of muscles that cause laugh lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet. Botox will give you a more youthful appearance, which will in turn help with your self-confidence.
Outside of aesthetic purposes, Botox can also be used as a treatment for TMJ disorders and associated pain. Botox can be used on the muscles that cause grinding of the teeth. Botox will relax these muscles, giving you relief from headaches, jaw pain, and soreness. This will also help maintain and preserve the teeth, as they will be enduring less damage from the grinding.
Dermal Fillers
The type of dermal filler that we use in our office is composed of hyaluronic acid, which naturally occurs in the body. Hyaluronic acid hydrates and restores the appearance of the skin.
Dermal fillers like Juvéderm decrease the effects of aging and enhance beauty. Fillers smooth wrinkles and fine lines that appear on the face. They can also be used to restore the natural volume and contours of the face or plump the lips.
What should I expect?
Treatments generally take 15-20 minutes, depending on which areas need treatment. The procedure consists of a few small, localized injections. You can expect to see results in approximately 10 days to 2 weeks. These treatments typically last for 3-6 months at a time.
