Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is an inflammatory condition that destroys the tissues that hold your teeth in place. Gum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss worldwide, and our practice emphasizes diagnosing and treating gum disease as early as possible.

The best way to treat gum disease involves a special type of dental therapy called Scaling and Root Planing (SRP). SRP, also known as Deep Cleanings, primarily focuses on treating the roots of the teeth below the gum line. Deep Cleanings remove the harmful tartar and bacteria deposits inside the gum pockets and eliminate the underlying cause of this destructive disease.
